Army Pvt Maria died from a gunshot wound which is under investigation. He was guarding a US Army outpost in Uzbekistan, Gio wrote that he would like to be a Green Beret. But he also wrote that he would give anything to come home, unless he got to see some action and shoot some Taliban. Then Pvt Maria died when he was struck in the head with a bullet from his own M-4 rifle.
