We are seeking sponsors/donations to help offset the cost of event expenses and to assist in providing support, hope and healing to those who grieve the death of a loved one regardless of relationship or circumstance. Although we try to get as many services and provisions donated as we can there are some things such as accommodations for the Core Run Team and Gold Star Family members, event T-shirts for the runners, escorts, and Gold Star Families, and nutrition supplies etc. that we may have to purchase. When we started back in 2009 it was a two day Run - in 2011 we had to extend to three days and in 2015 we had to extend again to four days! This means that our necessary expenses to enable the Run continue to increase dramatically - in 2018 for example:
Mailed over one thousand, five hundred Run t-shirts to Gold Star Families at no cost to them...
Provided almost three hundred hotel rooms to our Gold Star Families and our military Run team at no cost to them...
Other major expenses include the rental of 3 RVs to transport our run team, food, drinks, first aid supplies including ice packs, bandages etc., and countless other supplies...
Throughout the year we also provide help including possible financial assistance to Gold Star Family members who may find themselves in need.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their very generous donations and we wish to assure you that 100% of your donation will be used to cover the necessary expenses of The Mission... .
